Another on-ground gaming activity will be held at the popular Eton Cyberpod Corinthian in Ortigas, which has become one of the most sought-after venues for gaming events since its opening last November. This time, it is Requiem: Alive from Mobius Games.

The mature and dark-themed MMORPG will be holding its Requiem Rumble: Live Showdown on Friday, the 4th of March. All Requiem players are invited to enjoy a day full of fun games and activities.

Players can go one-on-one against real-life friends or enemies, and continue their search for glory. Guests will also have the chance to try out Requiem's upcoming patch, Version 4, on test servers.

Requiem: Alive players who will bring with them a friend not registered yet can also win in-game prices and items. And of course, a gaming event would not be complete without free play. Designated units will be available for everyone from 10am to 12pm, and 8pm to 9pm.

After a short regular maintenance, Requiem: Alive players will surely enjoy the updates and changes in the game's latest patch.

Requiem: Alive, a dark MMORPG for mature Pinoy players, has modified several skills in its latest patch today, 23rd of February. According to the update, several skills from the seven jobs have been modified.

Fortunately, all players will be receiving 10 job change certificates so they can check out the skill changes. These certificates will last for a month in their inventory so they will have plenty of time to use them.

Aside from that, there will also be a temporary enchantment and reinforcement boost to allow players to upgrade their gears.

With all these features, it is safe to say that this is one heck of a patch!

Any MMORPG should maintain a regular number of in-game events to keep its players interested. Holding on to that principle, the Requiem Alive Team announces an exciting event this Halloween season - the "Horror Week"

Horror Week is divided into two separate events - Brothers of Blood, and Brainolympics. In the first event, players will have to go against other races in an all out war. Players who emerge victorious will be given in-game currency and items.

The second event, Brainolympics, is for players who love solving riddles and finding things. GMs will announce riddles in the game and players will have to  identify these things. It is like a 'bring-me' contest, but instead of bringing the items themselves, players will have to take a screenshot of the correct "thing".

With a young game such as Requiem Alive, providing these kinds of events is the best way to spice up their players' gaming experience. For more information regarding the said events, just refer to this link.

Just last month Mobius Games, in cooperation with Gravity, released what could be the most bloody MMORPG the country has ever seen. Requiem: Alive is a fantasy online game set in a post-apocalyptic world that is ruled by violence. It was first released in the US in June 2008 under the title Requiem: Bloodymare.

Requiem: Alive has all the basics of a top-notch MMO, but one feature makes it stand out from the others - its gory, blood-splattering effects. If you are not into gory things, you better stay out from this game. In every minute of gameplay, blood and body parts (yes, body parts) will be splattering from monsters, players, and even from your own character. Here is a link of its promotional video from Mobius Games's site. Try your best not to throw up.

With its dark gaming atmosphere and scary monsters, Requiem: Alive will surely get the attention of those hardcore gamers who crave for a whole new genre of MMO gaming.

I'll also give this game a try so I can write a review about it later this month. (I hope I won't get nightmares when I try this.)
